HOURS
Day Use Hours of Operation:
Summer (April 1st to Sept. 30th): 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Winter (October 1st to March 31st): 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Extended Fishing Hours:
Summer (April 1st to September 30th): 6:00 a.m. to midnight and 24 hours on Friday, Saturday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.
Winter (October 1st to March 31st): 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
No entry or re-entry to the park or loading of boats after 10:00 p.m. during summer hours and after 8:00 p.m. during winter hours.
GENERAL RULES
Obey all posted signs, rules and regulations. Violation of park rules may result in revocation of permits, citation and/or arrest.
Patrons must obey all State of Oklahoma laws.
All lake activities may be suspended at any time at the discretion of law enforcement or Lake Staff.
All patrons under age 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult age 18 or older.
Vehicles are allowed on the clearly marked, maintained roads and parking areas only.
No vehicle maintenance or repairs shall be performed in the park, and vehicles with substantial fluid leaks are prohibited.
No ATVs or other types of motorized, off-road vehicles are allowed to be operated anywhere within the park.
Items, equipment, vehicles, trailers, watercraft, etc. left unattended overnight are subject to disposal or impound.
Glass containers are prohibited.
Canned beer is allowed provided the exterior of the can is covered from view by a koozie or similar type of product designed to form around the container. Other alcoholic beverages are permitted in camp site areas only provided they are not in glass containers. Kegs are not allowed. Patrons are reminded that operating motor vehicles or boats under the influence or with open containers of alcohol will not be tolerated.
Pets must be on a leash not to exceed ten (10) feet in length, one end of which must be securely fastened to restrict the movement of the pet.
Pets must never be left unattended and are not permitted in swim areas, beaches or playgrounds.
All livestock, except horses, are prohibited.
Do not cut limbs or attach anything to the trees or plants, i.e. lean-to's, tents, rope swings, etc.
All trash must be deposited in the approved trash receptacles. Use of trash receptacles are for Lake Permit holders during their stay.
Hunting and animal, fish and fowl trapping are prohibited.
Persons are not allowed upon the spillway, valve box or overflow areas.
Fireworks are prohibited.
Firearms are prohibited without a valid concealed carry license and accompanying identification and documentation.
CAMPING
Fees are to be paid to the Attendant/Camp Host or, in the event of their absence, the honor box before setting up at a campsite. The camping fee covers facility use for up to six (6) persons listed on the permit from the day of payment until the vacating time of 11:00 a.m. on the following day.
The maximum camping period shall be limited to seven (7) consecutive days. All camping equipment must be removed for at least forty-eight (48) hours at the end of the seven (7) consecutive day period. Camping equipment left longer than seven (7) consecutive days will be removed and disposed of.
There is a limit of six (6) campers per camp site. At least one (1) camper must be a responsible adult eighteen (18) years of age or older who is present with the minors at all times.
The maximum number of motor vehicles, recreational vehicles, and trailers per campsite shall not exceed three (3). All vehicles are to be parked in designated areas only and must not obstruct the flow of traffic on the normally traveled roadway.
Limit fires to the provided fire rings. Gather dead or downed firewood from the vicinity of the park area only. Fires are not to be left unattended.
Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Engines, radios, music, loud talking, and other loud noises are not permitted during quiet hours.
Camping is allowed only in designated sites with approved camping equipment; this includes tents, RV's, motor homes, and camping trailers manufactured for camping and sleeping purposes.
All tents and camping gear must stay within campsite borders. Sleeping in passenger vehicles or on the open ground is prohibited.
The use of electrical outlets will be limited to one (1) recreational vehicle at a time. Excessive lighting, "Christmas Trees" or similar devices are prohibited.
Under no circumstances shall any effluent from sinks, toilets or other plumbing fixtures be deposited upon or into the surface of the ground or water. Gray water from trailers and RVs must be contained and disposed of at approved locations away from the park area.
No person, other than campers, shall remain in the camping area between the hours of closing and 6:00 a.m.
Overnight campsite occupancy is mandatory during the entire camping period designated on the permit.
Campsites must be cleaned before departure
Campsites cannot be reserved or "saved" for campers arriving later.
FISHING
Fishing is allowed with a paid City of Guthrie day use permit and State of Oklahoma fishing license.
Fishermen using watercraft during extended hours will not make wake or produce any loud noise.
Fishing is not allowed within 50 feet of boat ramps, boat docks or designated swimming areas.
Day permit fishing is not allowed in the camp site areas.
Limb lines, trot lines and jug fishing are not allowed.
Fishing is permitted with pole and line only. No more than three (3) poles per person and one (1) line per pole.
Bait fish are not to be released into the lake.
Fishermen shall have no more than one (1) day fish limit in their possession.
All fish that are not legal size must be released immediately.
All children under the age of sixteen (16) shall be supervised by an adult of at least eighteen (18) years of age. A child's catch shall be counted as part of the adult's total in regard to the daily limit.
Fish limits will be in accordance with federal and state regulations with the exception of largemouth bass and saugeye which are limited to five (5) per day and must be at least eighteen (18) inches in length.
All dead fish or fish carcasses must be removed from the lake premises and disposed of pursuant to state regulations.
BOATING
Day use boating ends at closing time.
Kayaks and canoes do not require a boat permit and can be hand-loaded from the bank.
All crafts using fuel driven motors must have fire extinguishers.
All boats must have USCG approved flotation devices for each person in the boat. Flotation devices must be worn when a fuel driven motor is in use.
Children under the age of thirteen (13) must wear flotation devices at all times when they are on or in the lake, including all watercraft.
All boats on the lake must use running lights after sunset and before sunrise.
All motorized watercraft must use authorized public boat ramps when entering or exiting the lake.
All watercraft, including kayaks and canoes, must stay at least fifty (50) feet away from other watercraft, skiers, tube riders, docks and bank fishermen.
WATER SKIING
A rearview mirror or on-board observer is required.
No more than one (1) skier or tube per watercraft. Tubes with multiple riders must be designed by the manufacturer for that purpose.
No skiing or tubing near docks, exposed surfaces or coves with buoys.
There shall be no skiing or tubing before sunrise or after sunset.
SWIMMING
All swimmers, including long-distance swimmers and patrons using flotation devices, must stay within swim area boundaries or within 50 feet of the shoreline. Long-distance swimmers must wear a bright colored swim cap or other significant marking device to warn boaters of their presence.
All long-distance swimmers under the age of 18 must utilize appropriate PFDs manufactured for the purpose of open-water swimming. It is strongly recommended that adult long-distance swimmers also utilize appropriate PFDs manufactured for the purpose of open-water swimming.
Swimming is not allowed within 100 feet of the loading ramp.
Children under the age of thirteen (13) must be supervised by a responsible adult at least eighteen (18) years of age and wear USCG approved flotation devices anytime they are on or in the lake, including the swim areas.
HORSES
Camping with horses will be limited to camp sites designated for that purpose.
Horses are to be tethered when not being tended and are not to be left unattended.
Refuse from horses must be removed from camping areas and deposited within the provided dumpster before leaving the park area.
Horses are not allowed in the swim areas, beaches or playgrounds.
All horse riders must have in their possession documentation of a valid Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) and negative Coggins test report performed within the last 12 months. An approved equine passport serves as a CVI.
