Addressing the Council

The public is welcome to address the City Council to inform the public on community events or accomplishments or speak on any matter placed on the agenda according to the following guidelines:

  • Any citizen wishing to address the council must sign up prior to the beginning of the meeting (sign-up sheet is located outside the Council Chambers entrance near the Planning Department window) and designate which agenda item they wish to discuss.
  • Time is limited to five minutes
  • All comments should be addressed to the City Council, not to the attendees or the public at large
  • Council may listen, but no action can be taken
